***Here is a 172 year old issue of Illustrated News from April 16, 1853, NYC.

The headline features an engraving of Arthur Spring, an individual involved in a notorious murder case in Philadelphia in the 1850s. 
On March 10, 1853, two women, Ellen Lynch and Honora Shaw, were found brutally murdered in their home on Federal Street in Philadelphia.
Arthur Spring, a frequent visitor at their home, was a suspect.
Spring's own son, Arthur Spring Jr., provided damaging testimony against his father, claiming that his father confessed to the murders and that he saw him with blood on his clothes.
Arthur Spring Sr. vehemently denied the charges and claimed his son and his associates were the actual killers.
Spring Sr. was ultimately convicted of murder and executed in June 1853. 

Condition- Very Fragile - The paper has rips and chips and discoloration.
