Antique Wood Box, Japanese Hand Painted Box, Lacquer Gold Butterfly (HG-A098)
 
This is a very old Japanese Wooden Box with a hand painted floral and butterfly design in shades of gold, red and black. There is metal hardware but there is no longer a key. The interior is black lacquer.
NOTE - Lulu our Chonky Cat would not move out of the photo.
Condition - There are visible signs of age. There are some scuffs and Chips, minor scratches. It’s old and beautiful! There is a deep crack in the bottom as shown in the picture.
