This is an acrylic painting by the late E. Stephen Perry, February 26, 1932  -  December 19, 2019.
I was really drawn to the sense of waiting in the central character. To me it makes me think he is the child of a rich man who included many stipulations in his will on how the son could spend the wealth. Notice the photograph of an older man on the table behind the standing man.
