RARE Zenobia Shirt, Hand Painted 1970s T-shirt, Film Memorabilia, Obscure Art (TS-A475)
This 1970s shirt is white and features several hand-drawn designs. On the upper right, there is a green tree with what appears to be fruit. Below the tree is a drawing of a woman's head in profile, with green leaves in her hair and a red apple. She is wearing a blue top and is wrapped with yellow ribbon-like movie film attached to a reel. The name "DEE" is written near the bottom. (DEE was the previous owner, but I do not know the story behind the t-shirt.) The name "Zenobia" is written on the very bottom. There is a film real on the opposite side. There right shoulder says FILM FIVE. There are references to the Garden of Eden an Apple and a Snake.
There were a few films made in the 1970s depicting the Syrian Heroin Queen Zenobia of Palmyra. It could be related but I am not sure.
