Vintage 50s Dress, 2 Piece, 50s Circle Skirt, Tropical Shirt and Skirt Set, OOAK, Novelty Cotton Skirt, Handmade, S (C345)
 
This amazing skirt and blouse set from the 50s. This beautiful print is so on trend right now.

I rescued it from a trunk in an attic recently. It belonged to my Grandmother who was an amazing amateur seamstress.

Colors are a white shade with a deep turquoise or teal color.

The full skirt is Pleated at top to add more fullness. I assume if you added petticoats or crinoline it would flare out more.. The sturdy metal zipper opening is along the back. There is 1 Button above the zipper. The top has cuffed short sleeves with tiny collar. It buttons all the way to the top or can be left slightly loose. It has 5 pearl like buttons. There is a dart at the chest.


Condition- Excellent- I cannot find any major flaws. There are a couple of small rust spots from a wire hanger as shown in pictures.

Size - This is Handmade so no Size Tag - I would guess no bigger than 4 or XS or S. The dress form in the picture is a 6 and it was unable to button at top.
