Vintage Bird Figurine, Water Bird, Mid Century, White and Gold Bird, Heron, Egret Figurine, Hand Painted, Budapest Aquincum ( C902)
This cute little bird is white with gold painted accents. It is a waterbird. I’ve found others in auction houses but with different paint accents. I believe it was made between 1950s-1960s. The type of bird could be a type of egret, stork or heron.
It has a stamp from a porcelain/ ceramic company in Budapest. It also says Aquincum which was an ancient Roman City in current day Budapest. There is also a tiny hook like symbol carved in the bottom and the word, “ Kaeifestes” I’m not sure if that is spelled right.
Condition is very good. Glaze is very nice. I seen no cracks or chips.
