Vintage Crewel Embroidery, 1970s Cornucopia Full of Vegetables, Framed (AR-A651)
 
This is a lovely framed, vintage crewel embroidery depicting a cornucopia overflowing with fruit. The embroidery is set against a light beige linen background and framed with a dark brown and gold-tone frame. The cornucopia, rendered in shades of yellow and brown, is positioned on the left side of the composition, curving towards the center. A variety of fruits, including a pineapple, grapes, berries, and citrus slices, are clustered around the opening of the cornucopia, created with different colored threads and embroidery techniques.
