Vintage Dress 1950s/1960s Dress, Black Floral Lace Cocktail Dress (CL-A361)
 
This dress is a vintage, 1950s-era, cocktail or party dress with a fit-and-flare silhouette.  The dress is made of a light, beige base fabric (satin or silk feel) overlaid with a sheer black organza or tulle fabric. It features a black flocked or embroidered floral motif applied over the sheer overlay. The dress has a sleeveless, square neckline bodice. A defined black velvet band cinches the waist. The skirt is a full, A-line or gathered style, falling to approximately knee length, and has a black velvet trim along the hemline.
Condition - Good - There is a stain on the skirt underneath the black organza. I have not tried to remove it. A dry cleaner might have the best recommendations. I myself would just use fabric paint and match the skirt since it is underneath the black overlay. The dress is clean but has been hanging in a garment bag for quite a while. It should be dry cleaned just to freshen it up.
The crinoline is a stiff material which give the skirt a full look. I would wear a slip underneath.
